Halong Bay - Cat Ba Cruise 2 Days

Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, covers an area of 1,500 square km. With more than a thousand limestone peaks rising up from its crystalline emerald waters, this area is one of the world natural wonders, and it was recognised as World Heritage site in 1994. The tiny islands are dotted with secluded beaches providing an excellent setting for swimming or just lazing about on the boat deck. This trip also includes an exploration of Cat Ba Island. |
ITINERARY IN DETAILS

DAY 1: HA LONG BAY
This morning we will depart Hanoi at 08 00 for a four-hour drive through the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Stop for refreshment stop at the Sao Do charity center. This is a non-government organization run for and by handicapped children.
Upon arriving in Halong City we transfer to our private boat for a cruise of the crystalline emerald waters of Halong Bay, giving us the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board we will have a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch followed by a swim and the opportunity to explore some of the limestone caves in the area. Our final destination for today is Cat Ba Island where we spend the night.(Lunch included)
DAY 2: CAT BA ISLAND - HAI PHONG - HANOI
This morning we visit the Cat Ba National Park. Stop along the way to visit the old military hospital cave used by the North Vietnamese Army during the American War. We do a trek of 3 km up to Ngu Lam Mountain for a panorama of the region. Return to Catba town, we have an hour relaxing and have lunch. Board a local ferry to the port city of Hai Phong. Here we transfer to our vehicle for a 2-hour journey back to Hanoi.(Breakfast included) |
